Resident Parking Permits

Parking permits are for residential areas in Maidstone where on-street parking is limited. The scheme eases pressures and aims to improve parking availability for residents. There will be signs in the zone confirming the parking restriction(s), advising how long you can park before moving your car or displaying a valid permit.

If you want to park in a bay in a residents parking zone, you'll need to apply for a permit.

Availability of residents bays is dependent on daily demand. Therefore, permit holders aren't guaranteed a particular space, as any vehicle displaying a valid permit may park within the relevant zone.

Blue badge holders may park in residents bays for as long as they need to, while their badge is displayed.

Parking Services do not offer refunds for unused or partially used permits.

Permits and Prices

Permits are valid for a year from the date they're issued. The price for residents/visitors permits may vary depending how many permits have already been issued to your property.

Residents and Visitors

If you live in a permit zone you may apply for a residents’ permit. It is allocated to a specific vehicle registered to your address.

Visitor permits are not allocated to an individual vehicle so you'll need to make sure a valid permit is clearly displayed at all times.
